Damson Together…

New Trees for Solihull & Birmingham

Green fingers at the ready!..

Saturday was also our opportunity to pledge 100 brand new trees to the councils of Solihull and Birmingham – and what better time to make the pledge than in the presence of the Mayor of Solihull herself, Irene Chamberlain.

Our donation of the new trees is to be made over the following few days to both of the councils where we build our new homes. We hope to get local schools involved in the planting to aid education and awareness of our environment.

We take the view that as well as building homes for our community and neighbourhoods, our responsibility for the preservation of all things green doesn’t just lie within the boundaries of our sites – but also within the much greater vicinity.

Update…

We’ve received this lovely note from Trish at Solihull Council along with some sapling snaps…

Here are some more photographs of your saplings in place – these are now outside the shops at Hobs Moat – outside Tesco by the Church. This is a really busy residential area and the shops are used 24/7 — this has really made a difference to the area and helped our Neighbourhood Team in Elmdon. Thanks again Damson, — this support is fantastic and making a real difference in Solihull!
